It’s almost time for my favorite day of the year–Earth Day!
One of the best parts of celebrating Earth Day Monday, April 22, is raising awareness of the ways everyone can help the planet. This includes supporting green initiatives by using sustainable products, recycling services and eco-friendly beauty and wellness products.
Focusing on the latter, I’ve compiled a list of products from clean, eco-friendly beauty and wellness brands that you can use to help keep our Earth healthy while still looking and feeling amazing. I love that all these eco-friendly makeup brands and skin-care products are made sustainably without sacrificing quality!
The Best Earth-Friendly Beauty Brands and Products
From cleansers to perfume, these items are vegan, cruelty free and contain no harmful chemicals, making them perfect for anyone who wants to upgrade their beauty routine while helping save the world.
Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater + Squalane Makeup Removing Face Wash – $26 at Sephora
This multitasking face wash cleanses the skin while removing all of your makeup. It’s suitable for all skin types and specifically helps with minimizing and cleansing pores, dryness and redness. The formula includes natural ingredients that give the same results as acids and oils, like tremella mushroom, soothing rose hydrosol and squalene.
Tata Harper Water-Lock Moisturizer with Skin-Smoothing Peptides – $68 at Sephora
I love everything Tata Harper creates, and her Water-Lock Moisturizer is by far one of the best! It’s a lightweight, silicone-free refillable moisturizer with natural peptides and hyaluronic acid for skin-smoothing, balanced hydration. When you put it on, you instantly feel refreshed and glow-y!
Bouclème Curl Defining Gel – $34.79 $31.82 at Amazon
The founder of Bouclème, Michele Scott-Lynch, has a mission to encourage women to embrace their curls and creates the right products to care for them. They have a full line of products for curly hair, and the Bouclème Curl Defining Gel is amazing! It’s silicone free and smooths and defines curls without flaking or stickiness.
alpyn beauty Wild Huckleberry 8-Acid Polishing Peel Mask – $56 at Sephora
Usually acid peels are full of harmful ingredients, but not this one! The alpyn beauty Polishing Peel is powered by eight natural acids, bamboo powder and vitamin C to visibly resurface skin, refine pores, even texture and brighten your skin. I love that it works so quickly!
Biome-Balance Facial Solution Serum – $30 at Bea’s Bayou Skincare
Perfect for daily skincare regime, use the Biome-Balance Facial Solution Serum as a deeply nourishing solution of biome-friendly skincare ingredients for your smiling face! This facial fluid was made to target delicate and reactive facial skin. It can replace your serum and be applied before your moisturizer. It may surprise you how many more compliments you’ll get about your skin!
Amrutini Overnight Oasis Luminosity Dewdrops – $135 at Love, Indus
If you’re looking to plump, illuminate and hydrate your skin while you sleep, this elixir is for you. It works to restore your skin’s natural skin radiance with a fusion of precious botanicals sourced from the Indian subcontinent with the precision of New York’s technology. These include golden Muga silk (known for its exquisite luster), hyaluronic acid and transformative technological processes like biotransformation. It’s been described as “a magical precious potion,” and I agree! My skin feels fabulous in the morning!
The Mitty 4-piece Set of Amazingly Effective Reusable Facial Cloths – $33 at Take My Face Off
Why settle for rounds, wipes, or squares for removing makeup? The Mitty works great and saves you storage space and hassle. The clever shape works better than other cleansing aids, even handling the lash line better than cotton swabs. Also, the Mitty is the only reusable cleansing cloth that’s made to work with skincare fluids! Their luxurious Korean plush absorbs less fluid, yet spreads it more evenly and smoothly across skin.
Take My Face Off is founded by Amanda McIntosh! When asked about how sustainable beauty products are important to her and the planet, she said the following:
“I love personal care products, but they’re really hard on the planet—think about the number of plastic containers one person throws away every year. My company is my effort to create something that makes peoples’ lives better AND reduces waste.
There’s so much ‘greenwashing’ out there. As a brand, it’s really important for me to NOT be one of those brands. I want to be transparent with my customers, and I want to keep improving my processes whenever I can.”

Miracle 3-n-1 Clay Wash – $40 $30 at Strands of Faith
Strands of Faith is a beauty and lifestyle brand devoted to creating hair products for multicultural women that hydrate, revitalize and moisturize the strands for long-lasting results. The line of products for dry, textured hair has generated quite a buzz in the clean beauty industry!
That’s partly because they are all free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, mineral oil, phthalates and paraffins. Their Miracle 3-n-1 Clay Wash is a fan-favorite because it’s packed with nutrients and minerals from three clays—Rhassoul, Bentonite and Kaolin—to thoroughly cleanse, detangle and detox your hair.
Daily Defense Sunscreen Balm – $29.95 at Thrive Natural Care
Safely enjoy your active lifestyle in the sun with our all-natural, plant-based face lotion! The added SPF 30 mineral sunscreen plus moisturizer shields you from UVA/UVB rays while hydrating, nourishing and revitalizing your skin.

“The best clean, sustainable beauty products really help you look better. There’s no longer a trade off. Take Thrive Natural Care as an example. Thrive regenerates your skin, our planet, and farmer communities. New-to-market superplant ingredients, grown in a special way that turbo-charges their potency and purity, provide clinically superior skin benefits to women and men. The same model restores degraded lands to health and boosts farmer’s livelihoods. I am a passionate believer that regenerative is the future of skincare—and of business.”
