I bought this limited-edition advent calendar for my dog Gatsby last year and it was a hit. He loved it so much that I’ve already picked up this year’s version, and Gatsby thinks you should do the same for your dog before these calendars sell out.
What’s in the Bark Advent Calendar?
Advent calendars aren’t just for humans. Our pups also want to enjoy a little treat every day leading up to Christmas. With this Costco-exclusive advent calendar for dogs, you can deck the paws and make the season sweeter for your pup.
Just like last year’s version, the BARK Season’s Sweetings Advent Calendar for Dogs includes a festive combination of Christmas-themed toys and treats that are sure to be a hit.
If you don’t mind spoilers, here’s a breakdown of what you’ll find in this year’s calendar:
Dog Toys
The 2024 BARK advent calendar contains eight new Christmas toys for dogs. Each one comes with a punny name and different features. You can find toys that squeak and crinkle as well as those that are perfect for games of tug and fetch.
Dog Treats
For the other 16 days of Christmas, your pup will enjoy delicious dog treats that look like holiday cookies. You’ll find a gingerbread man, a star, and a Christmas tree, plus a frosted wreath and a frosted candy cane. Just keep in mind the treats are a bit big. Last year, I had to break them in half for Gatsby, but then again, he is only 15 pounds.
The cute factor doesn’t end with the toys and the treats. You’ll find the packaging itself is adorable because it looks like a brick house that’s ready for the holidays. Additionally, the advent calendar includes a customized digital Christmas story that stars your pup. Yes, I read Gatsby his story last year, and yes, he seemed to like it.
What Is the Deal and Why Does It Belong in Your Smart Cart?
This limited-edition advent calendar is only available at Costco. Last year, it sold out after going viral, so don’t be surprised if this happens again.
When it comes to picking up the BARK Season’s Sweetings Advent Calendar for Dogs, you can either visit your local Costco warehouse or order online at Costco.com. I found that buying in a store was a better deal for me.
The calendar is being advertised as $49.99 on Costco.com, but I bought mine for $39.99 at a Central Ohio Costco. I’d recommend checking your local store for similar savings!
In case you’re wondering whether this calendar is worth $40 to $50, I’d say the answer is a resounding yes.
- I found that last year’s toys were more than just cute. They were high quality, and we still have most of them.
- Gatsby also seemed to give his seal of approval on the treats. Every day, he took the treat to his favorite bed before devouring it.
When you look at other Bark toys, they typically start at $10 when you purchase them individually. Getting eight toys (plus 16 large treats) for $50 max is an absolute steal! Also, seeing the excitement on Gatsby’s face when I brought out the advent calendar was priceless, and I can’t wait for us to experience it again this year.
