From matching sets for yoga class to cold-weather running gear, our favorite activewear and athleisure brands are set to launch some pretty big deals this Black Friday – if past years are any indication.
Black Friday Activewear Sales Predictions 2024
To help you prep your pockets for the big shopping holiday, we’ve rounded up everything we know about the top activewear brands’ past Black Friday sales to give you an idea of what you can expect from them for Black Friday 2024. Just keep in mind that Thanksgiving falls as late as it possibly can this year — which pushes Black Friday to Nov. 29, 2024 — so we do expect many retailers to roll out even more competitive “early Black Friday” sales in the weeks leading up to the main event. These deals may or may not be better than the ones that launch on Black Friday proper, so stay vigilant!
In general, however, we expect Black Friday activewear sales to be comparable to last year. We’ve collected the brands here in alphabetical order, so scroll down to find your favorites — and let’s dig into what they did in 2023 so you know exactly what to expect for Black Friday 2024.
Does adidas Have a Black Friday Sale?
There were more than 6,000 items marked down during the adidas Black Friday sale last year and we expect a similar showing this year — but it’s not all about quantity over quality. There were epic savings on highly coveted items like adidas Yoga Studio leggings (similar to these) and luxe French terry hoodies for 70% off and Ultraboost running shoes for 60% off. Also of note: adidas held a members-only early Black Friday sale around mid-November last year — and, while it’s free to sign up for adiClub, the early sale was not as impressive as the post-Thanksgiving sale. Just something to keep in mind!
Does Alo Yoga Have a Black Friday Sale?
In 2023, this celeb-favorite brand ran its sale from Black Friday through the following Tuesday, with up to an additional 70% off previous markdowns on Cyber Monday. Most of the Alo Yoga Black Friday savings were capped at 30% off, but there were some deeper discounts to be found, including: 50% off the Alosoft Lavish Bra and Micro Waffle Fast Break Henley and 40% off the Alosoft Foldover Bootcut Legging and the Core Hooded Runner. Alo Yoga also held a comparable “Singles Day” sale on Nov. 11 where a lot of items sold out, so you might plan to shop ahead of Black Friday this year.
Does Athleta Have a Black Friday Sale?
Athleta offered 30% off sitewide for Black Friday last year, alongside savings up to 60% off its best-selling activewear. Prices were slashed on favorites like the stretch merino wool Ascent Seamless Top which was 45% off and the Altitude Stash High Rise Polartec Power Stretch Tight at 42% off. Athleta also held an app-exclusive early access sale the weekend before Black Friday, but it was for a comparatively “measly” 25% off one order — just in case you might be tempted by a similar offer ahead of the Athleta Black Friday sale this year.
Does Beyond Yoga Have a Black Friday Sale?
This trendy athleticwear brand boasted up to 85% off its buttery-soft, luxe gear for all shapes and sizes last Black Friday. Most beloved is the stretchy, comfy and squat-proof Beyond Yoga Spacedye collection, which saw 30% off favorites like the Caught in the Midi High-Waisted Legging, the Squared Bra and the Icon Midi Dress. Last year’s Beyond Yoga Black Friday sale ran for eight days, starting the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so we’re hoping for an extended opportunity to shop the sale this year too.
Does Columbia Have a Black Friday Sale?
If your athletic romps have you heading out into the cold, listen up: the Columbia Black Friday sale last year saw big markdowns on top gear, including the Slope Edge Hooded Insulated Jacket for 28% less and the Tumalo Mountain Gloves for 54% less. Like some other brands, however, you may find even steeper Black Friday and Cyber Week deals on Columbia Sportswear if you shop third-party retailers like REI, Amazon and Walmart.
Does Hoka Have a Black Friday Sale?
HOKA sneakers have become famous for its comfy, lightweight performance, but the HOKA Black Friday sale will be packed with quality apparel in addition to the popular footwear. The on-site sale saw markdowns hover around the 20 to 25% range last year, though there were some outliers up to 40% off. The deals were mostly on previous season’s colorways and styles like the Hupana Sports Bra and the ever-popular Clifton running shoe (so the Clifton 9 should see a big drop this Black Friday). Also, keep your eyes peeled for Black Friday deals on HOKA at other retailers; Nordstrom Rack, REI, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Zappos offered plenty last year.
Does lululemon Have a Black Friday Sale?
Last year, the lululemon Black Friday sale kicked off on Thanksgiving and ran through Cyber Monday, with early-access deals exclusive to the lululemon app. We don’t expect lululemon to host a sitewide sale — it never does. Rather, the Black Friday savings will be found on select merch in the “We Made Too Much” sections for men, women and accessories. Though you can shop these sections any day of the year, we expect more products, additional colorways and deeper discounts for Black Friday. For example, in 2023, there were savings of 50% off the beloved Align High-Rise Pant, more than 30% off the fan-favorite Everywhere Belt Bag and other men’s and women’s activewear priced at least 20% less than usual.
Does Nike Have a Black Friday Sale?
You’ll rarely find Nike discounting full-price items, but last year’s Nike Black Friday sale saw discounts up to 60% off across the site, with an extra 25% off select styles on Cyber Monday with a special promo code. This resulted in epic deals like Air Jordans for 44% off, Air Force 1s for 56% off and Phoenix Fleece sweats for 47% off. We expect a similar situation this year, so be on the lookout for the coupon code and make sure you’re a Nike member — it’s free to sign up!
Does On Have a Black Friday Sale?
Loved by Olympians and marathon runners, the suite of stylish, performance-ready On Cloud running shoes is known for its cozy-yet-supportive CloudTec cushioning — and the often eye-popping price tags. Fortunately, last year’s On Black Friday sale featured savings up to 40% off On Cloudboom, On Cloudventure and On Cloudaway styles (just to name a few) and a special coupon code for BOGO On apparel. The footwear and apparel sale ran through the Tuesday following Black Friday at On’s site, but significant On Cloud running shoe deals were also found via third-party sites like Zappos, REI and Amazon.
Does Patagonia Have a Black Friday Sale?
Patagonia does not hold a Black Friday sale, instead encouraging customers to buy used items, or trade in or repair the items they already own. That said, you’re still likely to find Patagonia Black Friday deals at other retailers. Last year, there were fleece pullovers, shearling jackets, backpacks and more from the brand on sale for up to 50% off at Backcountry, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Huckberry and REI. (The latter doesn’t participate in Black Friday, either, but will often hold a Cyber Monday/Cyber Week sale.) Otherwise, you can check Patagonia’s ever-changing Web Specials for the deepest discounts year-round, or hold out for the big winter clearance closer to February.
Does Reebok Have a Black Friday Sale?
Perhaps one of the most impressive sitewide Black Friday activewear sales of the season, Reebok offered 50% off almost everything on its site last year. Shoppers just needed to plug in a coupon code to score half-off deals on top picks like the Floatride Energy 5 Running Shoe, the Club C Revenge Vintage Shoe and loads of trendy athletic apparel for men, women and kids. We’re hoping the brand will offer the same deep discount this year — and include deals on the new Reebok x Barbie collection too — so be on the lookout for a Reebok Black Friday coupon code come November.
Does Vuori Have a Black Friday Sale?
While Vuori doesn’t usually hold a traditional Black Friday blowout, the year-round sale sections for women and men do tend to get a little boost around the holiday season. In 2023, favorites like the Tradewind Performance Tee and Evolve Square Neck Bra were 30% off, while this sweat-wicking Rib Crop Tank was 50% off. And on Cyber Monday, the TikTok-viral brand offered a free beanie with $150+ orders or a free tote with $250+ orders. That said, you can usually find comparable or better Vuori Black Friday deals at other retailers like Nordstrom Rack and REI during Cyber Week, too.
